Andy Moss

Andy is the CEO of Roadster. He is a successful serial entrepreneur with more than 22 years of experience and expertise in launching and running successful commerce and media start-ups, including FabKids, an online children’s apparel company, which was acquired by JustFab; ShopStyle, the leading fashion search engine, which was acquired by POPSUGAR; and Cairo, an online service for retail discounts. He has also held executive positions in business development at DemandTec and Ariba. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manchester, England.

Andy’s first car in England was a white Austin 1100. His current car is a Porsche 911, and his dream car is a 1963 e-Type Jaguar.

Rudi Thun

Rudi Thun is COO of Roadster. Thun has been an executive leader in online automotive for more than 15 years. At Roadster, he leads the company’s business development, marketing and content strategy efforts. Most recently, Thun was Head of Vehicles for eBay Motors, where he led day-to-day operations of eBay’s vehicle marketplace. Prior to joining eBay Motors, Thun was COO of CarWoo!, a VC-funded new car marketplace. Before that, he was VP and General Manager of AOL’s automotive properties. Thun’s passion for the auto industry dates back to his childhood, growing up near Detroit, and further developed during his first job with Ford Motor Company. Thun earned his MBA from University of California at Berkeley, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.

Rudi’s first car was a 1977 Caprice Classic (two-tone). Current car is a 2011 BMW 335D. Dream car is a 2016 Porsche 911 GT3.

Chris Gross

Christopher Gross is Executive Vice President and General Manager at Roadster where he leads the Roadster Concierge team. Gross has more than 25 years of proven leadership and experience in the automotive, technology and financial industries. Most recently, Gross was the founder of BuySide Auto, a highly rated auto broker for new cars, which was later acquired by Roadster. Prior to founding BuySide Auto, Gross held senior executive sales positions at Chug, a powerful search engine for cars; Cartelligent, an online automotive company; and OQO, a pioneer in ultra mobile personal computing. Gross holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Arizona and an MBA in general business from Harvard Business School.

Mike Lenz

Mike is a founding engineer and works on Roadster’s search, purchasing, and user interface features. Previously he was VP of engineering at POPSUGAR’s ShopStyle, the leading fashion search engine. Before its acquisition, he was a co-founding developer at ShopStyle, Inc. He was an engineering manager at VeriSign and held developer roles at Apple and Netscape. He has a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.

Mike’s first car was an 80s-era Buick with velour bench seats and a vinyl roof. His current car is a Subaru Outback, and his dream car is a Fiat electric convertible.

Vincent Lo

Vincent is a founding engineer at Roadster and works on infrastructure, asset management, direct marketing and CRM. Prior to Roadster, he was a co-founder and CTO of FabKids, a subscription-based children’s apparel company that was eventually acquired by JustFab. He was an early engineer then manager at Ariba and served as a software architect at Apple. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Brown University.

Vincent’s first car was a Volkswagen GTI. His current car is a BMW M3, and his dream car is a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.

Trey Matteson

Trey is a founding engineer and works on Roadster’s vehicle inventory system and catalog; and search scoring and interface. He was an engineer at POPSUGAR’s ShopStyle, working on the search algorithm, analytics, SEO and iOS app. Prior to co-founding ShopStyle, Trey held several engineering positions that included consultant on iChat and Safari at Apple; software architect at Ariba; and engineering manager at NeXT and later Apple. Trey holds a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science from Brown University.

Trey’s first car was a black 1980 Mercury Capri. His current car is an Acura RDX with a kid’s car seat, and his dream car is a Mini convertible. Manual transmission only!

Elsa Kawai

Elsa is a founding designer at Roadster responsible for driving user experience, branding and marketing initiatives. She is a design veteran having served as creative director at Wikia and POPSUGAR, a global women’s lifestyle brand, where she managed the design team that created and executed the company’s online presence. Her work has won awards from Yahoo, SXSW, and American Design and has been featured in numerous magazines and books including Weekend Almanac and Print Magazine. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic design from Saito Academy in Malaysia.

Elsa’s first car was a 1966 VW Beetle. Her current car is a Jeep Cherokee, and her dream car is a Porsche Macan.

Mika Kozma

Mika is a founding designer at Roadster, leading user experience and overall product design efforts. He is a digital thinker with a passion for storytelling through design and technology. Prior to Roadster Mika served as lead designer at Wikia, helping to shape the Social Universe for millions of fans of Wikia Communities. Before that he worked as a senior UX designer at Flip Video focusing on the Flipshare video platform. Mika graduated from WSHE (in Lodz, Poland) with a BFA in Graphic Design. He also studied Film Directing at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Mika’s first car was a sky blue 1993 Ford Fiesta. His current car is a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited, and his dream car is a 2016 Mercedes AMG GT S.

Kevin Whitley

Kevin is a developer at Roadster working on user interface. Previously he was a senior engineer at POPSUGAR’s ShopStyle and an architect at Ariba and several other software companies. He has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Physics from U.C. Berkeley.

Kevin’s first car was a green VW Beetle. His dream car is a Miata convertible, and he happily drives one now.
